  • Please take note of this complaint. Netspend ACE is horrible when it comes to fraudulent activity. My account was 89.00 and last night a total of 7 transactions occurred within a half hour span causing my balance to become zero. All of these transactions occurred from a retailer in India. Mind you I live in Ohio. I called netspend and was told to contact the retailer. I told the rep i dont know who the hell these people are making the charges. Then i was told a investigation would need to be launched and may take up to two weeks. So then I asked to speak to supervisor who basically fed me the same bologna that her rep gave me. I have had great experiences with this company up until this point. If internet fraud was not such a major issue I wouldnt have anything negative to say about netspend. However since fraud is such a big issue, I no longer have faith in this company and will deposit my money in a local bank. Many local banks give you the benefit of the doubt and deposit the money back into your account as they investigate the fraud.

  • Rebecca, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. The BBB is a scam in and of itself. Also, consider filing a complaint with www.ic3.gov. This is a site operated by the FBI internet crimes division. You were ripped off via the internet. Make sure you carbon copy the attorney generals office in the state where you reside or the impropriety took place.
    Google "Netspend" followed by the word scam and you will be shocked.
