  • I got the same call 5 times today but kept getting disconnected before I got the conformation number, either by my phone dying or loss of connected (thank goodness). It came from 3 different numbers with 3 different people. The numbers are (706) 594-8160, (706) 594-6245, and (706) 594-3439. The last number the lady's name was Fiona Morris (which she misspelled at first with only one r) and her ID number was FM1430. I never finished out the call but my heart was broken when I came out and found out that this was a scam. I had put a lot of thought into it since the first call. I mean $7,800.00 for just staying out of prison and not filing for bankruptcy for 6 months. All 3 of the people were Indian, they had thick Indian accents. I just don't want to see anyone actually give them money.

  • I spoke with someone named Alex at first then I spoke with a women both have India-accents(sp). I have a copy of the western union receipt of where i sent my money to and who they told me to sent it to. Just recently, about two weeks ago they called again but this time they asked for my wife and tried to run the same scam on her. I don't know how they got our home number because we only give out our home number to doctors, job applications, etc. However, we do on occasion-fill out info cards online in which we give out our number and i am sure this is how they are getting their info on us and other victims. Long story short, my wife blew them off and said call her tomorrow in which I've been waiting for that day-cause when it comes I'm going to have the police on the line to listen and to ask they trace the call.

  • I was recently scammed like this too. Although I caught it early and the guy claimed that he would kill me and said he knew where I lived; he had my address already and the last four numbers of my card. I recommend closing your various debit/credit/savings card, and getting rid of saved information of your card from various sites like paypal, amazon, and ebay. Make sure the number of your card does not exist. Also know that every grant or loan requires an application. You yourself must apply. In terms of getting this whole fiasco cleared up and getting your money back, good luck. Your should get in contact with FTC Federal Trade Commission. ftc.gov
