  • I have this letter also. I called the number, spoke to a lady, then a supervisor, sat and listened to the entire script, then they tried to "snow" me with magazines, a diamond bracelet, and some other stuff, which I had to pay 1.25 per week! They were desperate for my credit card number and exp. date.....I wanted to tell them to go to hell, but I just said I wasn't interested and hung up on the lady. You're right....it's nothing but a great big scam! thanks for posting

  • I got one today also and it to is signed by E. Wright says you are urged to call Toll Free 1-800-235-3496 By Septenber 20,2012 You will be asked to confirm your address. Final Notice The prize distribution as of this date is as follows and is Guaranteed to be Awarded to the Winner. All taxes are the responsibilty Of The Winner Official prize listing Grand prize 1,100,000.00 september 20 2012 I think I will call them Just to see how far they will go. My one and only question is why are these people allowed to get away with this? Can anyone out there answer this I also noticed they seem to come right around the same time PGH is or has just found the person who have won their jackpot so really now who is E. Wright?

  • Similar experience as March 12, 2012 entry. Urged to call (1-800-235-9764) by march 29,2012. I was asked if I had any credit cards - this got my attention. They told me I had been selected to receive a man's and a woman's watch with a diamond at the 12 o'clock position. All I had to do was select 3 magazines from a list of 20 or so. Having had a similar come on from someone purporting to be from Publisher's Clearing House; I said no I'm not doing that and hung up as the woman was going on and on about the beautiful watches I would receive. My letter was also signed by "E.Wright", whoever that may be.
If you receive a letter offering you a prize of 1,100,000.00 Put it in your paper recycling immediately. Do not be tempted to call the 800 number! This a total scam to get credit card numbers.

  • I called the number to see what exactly it was the first thing they do is ask for the ID # unaware that they would automatically enter u in after telling them the number she started to tell me about the watch and magazines for $1.29 per week I declined and she then continued to read off dozens more names to chose from again I declined and hung up I didn't give a card number or any other information but they had my name address and zip code not sure how they got this information but now because I called I am worried this scam has got me even after I declined is there anything I can do to protect my identity
