  • Thanks much to James for posting this. My wife got a mail today and it was posted from Seattle, WA. It looked like genuine and since it looke like it was from Readers digest my wife was all happy and excited. The first thing that caught my attention was that the envelope did not have any return address and the Readers digest log on the letter had "New Zealand" (faded). So then I took to the internet and got to this posting and I was so happy and thanful to be living in this day and age!!! I checked the ABA number on the check to see if that atleast was valid and nope!!! That had 10 characters where a good ABA is only 9.

    These frauds must be making so much money out of poor folks who fall trap. Every human being in this world dreams of hitting a jackpot and these devils/retards just prey on these poor souls.... Oh well....

    Thanks James, thanks Internet, thanks Google and Thans Scambook!!! I am certain my wife dreamed big and the high came down so fast!!! but all is well because of folks like you!!!!

  • My bank have contacted me about this today. "Large Edition Mag" for $27.96. They put a stop on my credit card and are sending me a new one. I have never signed up for Readers Digest so I don't know where they have gotten my details from. Thankfully my bank had the good sense to confirm this dodgy activity on my card and stopped them from scamming any money out of me. They need to be stopped!
