  • Ya, I was scammed back in Jan. 2012 for approx. same ammount, and unlike most, I was able to get through to them on the phone. They informed me that they do "not" give full refunds and would only credit me half back . I figured I was lucky if I got that and took it. I had no idea anywhere like scambook existed.(Thank God for scambook). Mind you now this was almost a full year ago and this is the most recent complaint I've seen. There have been a lot of actions taken by the company to make right on what they had so fraudulantly done to so many unsuspecting customers, but not enough because its still happening to date. Imagine how many people dont know about scambook or dont want to go through the hassle of the long drawn out process of trying to get the credit card company to get it back. This company is making out like a bandit. Rob 1000 people, pay back 100. They are making a lot of money just based on the fact and presumptions that people dont want to hassle or are too lazy to look at their credit card statement close enough every month to notice. A lot of people just send a payment in every month and dont even look at the charges. My complaint wasnt the first, so its been going on for more than a year. They have made right with a small percenrage of people, but the question I have is , "WHY IS THIS STILL HAPPENING? WHY ARE THEY STILL ALLOWED TO ADVERTISE MISLEADINGLY LIKE THAT? WHY HAVEN'T THEY BEEN ASKED TO CHANGE THE AD? Otherwise this is going to be a never ending issue in which they arent really being held accountable for. Thank you scambook for all your efforts, but if you really want to help, nip the problem in the rear and stop them from using that fraudulant ad which so many keep getting taken for over and over to date. Protect potential future victims from becoming just that. Thankk you. (Good luck to those without resolution yet and God look out for those who havent been scammed yet)

  • I'm posting this in response to Roberts complaint about Emerald Lux. Virtually the same thing happened to me , although mine actually worked. If you read the Terms and Conditions on the order page it explains what they are going to do. Basically, when you place the order you are agreeing to their "Terms And Conditions". When you agree to the "Terms And Conditions" you agree to their contract. You try it for 14 days, and that's 14 days from the time you place your order. So, if it takes 2 days to get to you , then you got 12 days left of the trial. When you order your "trial" you are automatically signed up for their service that will cost you the $109.95 plus, they will automatically send you more tips, (the "tips" are the part with the flavor & nicotine) at $59.95 per month. The thing that pisses me off is they hide the details behind lots of colorful text that says FREE, FREE, FREE. The terms and conditions link is small and easy to overlook, and I think that is intentional on the part of Emerald Lux. I read the details after it was too late. Like Robert I didn't know about the "Agreement" untill I saw the charge on my account. Personally I didn't even like the product. I went with TeciCig and its working out well for me. I called them but they said they would not take it back because my trial had expired. Much of consumers like myself tend to think of the "Terms And Conditions" as a general, all the same, don't copy , don't sell, yada yada type of thing, Unfortunately Emerald Lux has taken advantage of our bad habits.
