UPDATE: 9/11/2013, 10:13 AM PST, Best Buy does not want to resolve consumer complaints on Scambook. I have spoken to a few different executives at Best Buy. They are well informed of their public consumer complaints but do not wish to utilize Scambook as a platform at this time. They have all of my direct contact information if they chagne their minds in the future. www.bestbuy.ca.joeyistheceo.com off that im a website host.
what you WANT to look for is the end of the link. when does the link end usually at the .com
if bestbuy REALLY was hosting a contest it would be
www.bestbuy.com/winacontest.
see how the link ends with.com followed by the slash winacontest.
because the link itself is www.bestbuy.ca.winacontest.COM the domain name is where its fooling everyone.
not me though i saw it right away.
its the trick of using the domain name.
if i wanted to i can register a domain name called www.bestbuy.yourmom.com
the domain name is where the scammers are screwing with everyone. everyone thinks its a legit link from bestbuy. but its the trick of the domain name.
they used their domain name as bestbuy.ca.winacontest
the .com .ca .gov, is what ends the link.
thats where the scamming is happening.
.COM! the link is no associated to bestbuy because the address itself ends with .com.
its a scammer using bestbuys name to sound legit.
The best thing to do if you continue to receive texts in large numbers is to have your phone number changed. Your phone carrier has no control over who calls/texts you.
Another thing....DO NOT enter any contests using your cell phone, i.e., where you text a coded message to a 5 or 6 digit number.
This is how, I believe, my phone number got into the wrong hands, I texted a number to enter a contest to win free gas for a year from Enmark.
That being said, you can go to this website to either download the Microsoft Office Suite or Microsoft Word by itself.

However, if you look on your new computer, their should be a Microsoft Office icon somewhere, or it should be listed under your programs tab and you can download it that way. Most new computers (at least ones from Best Buy) come with the icon already uploaded onto the computer so that you can purchase a digital copy.
Alternatively, there is a free program that mimics Microsoft Office, called Open Office. Here is the link to download it:
http://www.openoffice.org/
You can convert any document made in open office to any Microsoft office format. You can also view and edit Microsoft Office documents in this program. Some of the features are arranged differently though, so if you are more comfortable with using Microsoft Office and don't think that you could learn a new program, I would just buy Microsoft Office.
Once you have either of these document programs downloaded, I would take both your old and new computer back to best buy and make sure that they transfer your documents.
