  • You have to apply directly on BestMark's website, http://www.bestmark.com, for them to contact you. BestMark will tell you that and also they will never send anything by mail or ask that you wire money. This is a scam for sure but don't blame BestMark. Someone is using their name wrongfully and one should do their homework when sent free money. Don't you think???

  • Did you try and call this so called company before cashing the check? Would you send someone a check for that much money and expect them to send the majority of it back? Of course you would not so why did you think someone would do this for you?

    Please remove this complaint. You are the one giving BestMark a bad name because you would fall for something so detectable. It has scam written all over it and BestMark would never send a check for work not yet done. This is also for way to much money. ($300,000) Could someone even cash a check for that amount?

  • I too received an email from [email protected] saying there was a job opening with bestmark, luckily I applied directly to their website as well as responding to the email. I then was told by bestmark that they will never send anything by mail or ask that you wire money. I later received a money order through for $995 and instructions to wire $710 at Western Union to Gary King at 8415 2nd Avenue Decatur AL 35206. When I did not complete the task because I knew it to be a scam Janet Harrison emailed me saying
    "Good day to you,

    I wonder why you were been delaying this evaluation I've bestowed my trust in you as our secret shopper.

    I’m Christian that will never deal with anything illegal or have possession of other people by exploiting them. Read Heb11:1. Faith is the substance of thing hoped for and evidence of things not seen. I’ve not seen you before but I trusted you I decided to work with you for your betterment and the progress of our
    company.

    Kindly, proceed with the instructions that came along with the payment and have the payment processed as soon as possible. However, once you execute this transaction perfectly you will receive another payment for another evaluation and your commission will be increased.

    This made it completely clear to me this was a scam. Bestmark is aware of people using there name to scam others and recommends that you file a complaint to https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ which I already have done, I would suggest you do the same so they can start an investigation and hopefully put this person behind bars. I am sorry for the loss of money you had and hope this person gets what he/she deserves.
