Here at Scambook, we’re always keeping our ear to the ground for scams affecting our users.  But we’re also on the lookout for other ways to help you guys out too.  One such opportunity just came across our desk and we wanted to share it with you.  A class action settlement was recently reached related to consumers receiving unwanted text message advertisements.  If you received one of the text messages in that case, you can receive up to $100 if you file a claim form on the settlement website, www.TextAdClass.com.

The settlement website explains what type of text messages count and allow you to file a claim form online in just a couple of minutes. From looking at the FAQ on the website, if you received text messages about stuff like cars, payday loans, online colleges, foreclosed homes and a few other topics, you might qualify under this settlement.  All you need is your cell phone number and a mailing address.  There’s no catch, just head on over to website and check it out, and fill out a claim form if you qualify.  All the court documents and other stuff are there, so you can read all about the case and the settlement.

We think a lot of Scambookers out there might be class members in this class action settlement because it appears that the text messages were sent to tens of millions of people.  Again, the website is www.TextAdClass.com.  Let us know if you filed a claim in the comments.  Remember, here at Scambook, we’re helping to prevent you from getting scammed, but always looking to help you put money in your pocket as well.

What was the result of your request? Did you get a loan? I am in touch with them but cannot find too much about them…

I wish someone would look into how cellpphone carriers violate the law on misrepresenting late charges. Tmobile is notorious for this. I was. 84 cents late! Which was just a overlook but I got blasted from them saying I was 32 days late on my bill and they added charges of next months bill so it sounded like I owed a huge amount of money.they then threatened to cut off services. All this over .84 cents!!! The insult is that I am stuck in a contract with TMOBILE until
    December!

Want to chek on this company which is soliciting loan application from people across the wold. They appear dodgy given the type of information and the huge amounts thy are talking about. Besides, interacting with some of thir staff show lack of credit knowledge!
