was approached in the mall by salesperson ardina who began to demostrate on my hair the herstyler. at the time my granddaughter was with me who has course hair and i asked her if the herstyler would work on her texture of hair since the salesperson had stated that it would straighten any time of hair and keep it that way until the hair was shampooed. i then had ardina demonstrate on a small piece of her hair and my granddaughter wanted me to get it for her so i did against my better judgment. i brought the herstyler home and noted later that evening that the product was defected so the following day i took it back to the mall and spoke with ardina again not only about the product but the price since i discovered was significantly higher than purchased on line. she told me that was there price and that the difference in what they offered vs online was the lifetime warranty which is printed on my receipt. i questioned her about that statement since the warranty with the product stated a one year warranty not lifetime. she explained it to me stating her and the manufacture has an agreement to offer this if product purchased from there kioski. i also was told that anytime i wanted my hair done or my granddaughter we could come in and have our hair so i had her straighten my granddaughter hair which proved to be very disappointing and i stated that to ardina. anyway i left with a replacement. on saturday i decided to try the herstyler out on my granddauhter's hair and noted as the iron got hotter the white writing which spelled titanium began coming of as well as some of the writing on the other side. i was told to bring the product back and they would replace it however when I got to the mall no one was at the kioski and we called the number posted and i was informed by the manager that they were not going to give me a new herstyler and if i wanted another i would have to go to the manufacture. prior to purchasing product I was told if i had any problems i could bring it back to sleek for a replacement. i feel that they misrepresented the product as well as the warranty.
