I just received this letter in the mail and the check as well. I told my husband that I bet it was a scam. And apparently I was right and that is why I am here. I got another check and letter with the same sort of instructions. Both letters were postmarked from Canada. Funny how the letters came from companies in New York, postmarked from Canada and their banks are in Colorado and Detroit. My husband and I were recently in Detroit and did actually see a "Commerce Bank" in Detroit, Michigan, which is the name of the bank on one of the checks. I guess since we are going back that way soon, I could try to cash it there and see what happens. It is disgusting how people are constantly coming up with more and more ways to steal from honest people! These people need to be stopped and the only way that is going to happen is form people to due their research. What did people due before the internet? Hopefully this will help others out there! Don't be the sucker!!! - One of the lucky ones, in Ohio-
