Some how this dating site got my American Express number and have been charging me 20.55 sine November 2011. I have tried to stop this by using their on site information however the charges still come through each month. I tried calling the 1-888-892-2065 number on my statement but the number does not work from Canada. Please can you stop these charges.

- Thank you so much for posting this - I have had a similar experience with the same website. In my case, I signed up for discounted membership that was to last 3 months. Instead, I was charged $60 more than the amount I agreed to. Before I even noticed they had done this, I cancelled my membership online, having tried it out for a couple months and didn't like it after all. So now, my membership status according to them is "Paid/Cancelled". I apparently have 55 days to renew my membership; and until then I am not allowed access to the site, not even to obtain contact information. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!! ...and thank you for this post. Have you tried speaking to customer service at AmEx? Visa is trying to help me out with this; I would think that AmEx will at least be able to prevent further payments from being deducted from your account. Take care.
