When I made a contract with Direct TV they didn't tell me anything, knowing that I couldn't read,speak,or understand English.When they set up the satellite they did it poorly and so it was disaligned.I've been paying $120 monthly when most channels don't work and the cable is on and off. This month I haven't had TV at all. When making they contract they didn't say that it would cost $50 for a visit from the technician, and I'm not going to pay $50 for their poor service. Also, they didn't say anything about the $100 cancellation fee, so I'm stuck between paying one of those two. The cable has been having issues for overe 8 months and we've still been paying and they say they won't do anything about it.

  • The cancellation fee is $20 for every month left on your 2 yr contract plus the equipment they often charge for that too and may return your money after a certain length of time.If you are Spanish there are groups that may help you with this problem since you did not understand or speak English very well I don't believe they could hold you to this contract.Get in touch with the "Legal Aid Society" in your town they should be able to help you for free..Good Luck

  • Alvin..Are you some kind of spokesman for DTV? I believe you are absolutely wrong! First off, if you don't understand the language you cannot be held lible. They knew she did not understand and they simply took advantage of her! even if she got their so called "service plan" this is just a scam to get more money out of the customer,they do not service anything for free! You need to go on some of the other sites and read some of the many many complants against your DTV.They may have been good to you in the past but just wait they will get you with one of their scams then you will know how it feels to be taken by DirectTV! I stand by what I said!!
