I purchased a men's Omega SeaMaster form WOrld of Watches. Recently the watch had to be serviced so we took it to an authorized Omega Jeweler. We were informed that they could not service the watch because the serial number on the wathc movement had been removed deeming the watch a Gray Market item which voids all manufacturer warranties. We were not aware thaqt we had purchased a gray market item. The online retailer, World of Watch never informed us of this. Not on their website or the materials that came with the watch. I have reached out to them and Rio, their oeprations manager informed me that the company has since been sold and that he could not help me. He said that they were not aware f gray market items being sold by their company. I asked him to simply swap out the watch they sold me for another one of the same with the serial number intack. He said that it was not the new companies problem. I would have to take it up with the old company.

I now have a worthless piece of watch from them.
