Safeway ran an ad for corned beef at $1.99 per pound on 3/14/12 valid 14th thru 17th. None were available for purchase when I visted the Alhambra blvd store in Sacramento (95816) on the 14th. Clerk & meat department Manager said rain checks could not be issued but that I should check back.None were available on the 16th or 17th when I tried again to purchase. Having none available on 3 (at least) of the 4 day sale (and possibly none at all as far as I know) cleary does not meet the California State Consumer Affairs advertising requirement of a "reasonable supply". This is classic bait & switch tactic as on all 3 dates staff recommended I purchase the $2.99 or $3.99 corned beefs instead, of which they had a huge supply.
