A man named Alex King called me. Stated that there had been a fruad case filed against my SS#. Said it was a cash advance (I never got). Said if I didn't take care of the matter by 5:00 the police were going to come to my house. It would reflect badly on credit report for the next 3 years. Also I would go to jail and/or wouldn't be able to leave the state for up to a year. Then told me I would lose my disability benefits. I was so scare of loosing my disability I went ahead and paid it. I did research after the fact and found out that they were supposed to send me a written validation of my debt explaining what I owed money for. I called him back today asking for my money back. He told me I couldn't get it back and if I tried to he would proceed with court proceedings. I asked for his address and he gave me a fake one and said he would not send me anthing in writting since I had already paid.

  • If you payed with a credit/debit card I suggest you call your bank ASAP cancel your card and request for a new one. While you do that ask your bank to transfer you to a department where you can file for despute and get your money re-inversed.
