I am having the same problems as eveyone else.I paid $1700 for an order placed December15, 2011.  I called/emailed several times with no response.  I finally reached someone and after being on the phone for an hour trying to get information about my order, I just found out it was damaged and would take 2 more weeks to get filled - so it has now been 6 weeks.  I also paid $300 for assembly and 5 weeks after cashing my check they told me they didn't have anyone to assemble.  I found someone to assemble it and called again for tracking - got vm of course and Roman called me back and said they don't ship on Fridays (another stall tactic).  So i called back again on Monday (surely they ship on Monday). After being on the phone for an hour they told me it hadn't shipped because it was damaged.  I requested proof that they actually had my furniture because I had a feeling they never ordered it and had been lying to me the entire time.  After all the lies, unreturned voicemails, unanswered emails, managers never being available, and being on hold just to have my order mysteriously 'damaged' I asked for an expedited refund so I could go buy a bed, because we are tired of sleeping on the floor, they told me it would be another 7-10 business days to get a refund processed.  2 weeks later I called to check on my refund and it was never processed (they said I owed them a 25% restocking fee so they didn't process the full refund like they emailed me they would, but never bothered to notify me about it, and even though their refund/return policy stated otherwise). Furniture XO advertised free shipping then charged a 10% fuel surcharge for delivery- which coinsidently negates the 10% discount you get if paying by check. They accepted payment for assembly and then 6 weeks later said they didn't have anyone to assemble. It's wrong to keeps customer's money for several weeks and then not deliver the product. I contacted the manufacturer and Furniture XO is not an authorized dealer of their furniture.  This is the absolute worst buying experience I have ever had and I feel like I've been SCAMMED!!

**UPDATE**
As of 3-13-12 (3 months after placing my order) I have not received my order nor a refund like so many others.  Feel free to contact me at (Personal Information Removed) if you would like to possibly join the class action lawsuit currently being reviewed by Attorneys.

******3rd LEGAL UPDATE (posted 3/3/12)******

CEO of Furniture XO/MIG Enterprises, Matthew Kolodesh, a/k/a “Matvei" Kolodesh was charged by the FBI for fraud/embezzlement October 2011.  Here is the link to the case information on the FBI website.

******2nd LEGAL UPDATE******

As of 2-29-12 I have been contacted by the Pennsylvania Attorney General and they are officially investigating Furniture XO.  I referenced resellerreviews.com/store/furniturexo
and the BBB complaintants so there is a better chance they can start a class action lawsuit. Also I filed a small claims lawsuit against Furniture XO that is scheduled for trial at the end of April 2012.

I encourage everyone who has been lied to, scammed, and ripped off by this frauduent company to contact the Pennsylvania Attorney Generals office.  Here is the link to their complaint form on their website and it has all of their contact info on it (i suggest using the mail-in form so you can send in all of your supporting douments).

Hope this helps and I will continue to post updates.

********LEGAL UPDATE*******
As of 2/1/12, I have contacted the Federal Trade Commission and the Pennsylvania Attorney General.  The Attorney General is currently reviewing the complaint and I will post updates as I get them.

  • **FINAL UPDATE**
    12-24-12
After waiting several months and being repeatedly lied to about the status of my order I sued Furniture XO to get my money back. They tried to charge me a 20% restocking fee for furniture they never shipped nor ordered from the manufacturer. I contacted the manufacturer and my furniture had been in stock the entire time Furniture xo was telling me it was backordered.

My Attorney was able to sue for 3x the damages under the Consumer Fraud Act. The Judge was appalled at the poor business practices of Furniture XO, and I won my case. I posted my experience on several consumer websites and have been contacted by dozens of customers experiencing the same problems. Feel free to contact me if you need more information about filing a lawsuit or complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General at (Personal Information Removed)

I had to sue them to get my money back after waiting several months and never receiving my order. Their CEO has been indicted for fraud/embezzlement by the FBI and I think this is a HUGE scam! They have an 'F' rating with the BBB. Save yourself the headache and hassle I went through and stay away from them!

  • We are yet another victim of Furniture XO. We also discovered that the CEO, Matthew Kolodesh, was charged by the FBI for Fraud and embezzlement for running an illegal hospice business- see link www.fbi.gov/philadelphia/press-releases/2011/hospice-owner-charged-in-health-care-fraud-and-embezzlement-scheme Per the FBI, Mr. Kolodesh will only have a case against him for FURNITURE XO if enough people file a complaint at this link www.ic3.gov. It only takes a few minutes. We will likely never see our furniture or our money again. This is the only way we can fight back. If we let these people do this and get away with it, we are serving them.
I just saw your final update information. There seems to be no way to reach them, not that I could reach them before. They are now out of business and have apparently sold their website to Home Gallery stores. I called and they said they were not aware of the "bad business". Well, I can't blame the employees. At least they have some manners. I have little faith in the CEO of this company, though. Nobody is that stupid!
