Bought a car or cash money and was told that titlework would have to be done by dealer since I lived in Maryland. Bought car on 6/18/2011 and on August 1, 2011 still had not received anything from Department of Motor Vehicles. Called Dealer for 3 days in a row and the only person who answers the phone knew nothing and kept saying that she would have someone call me. FINALLY after calling MVA and finding out that Dealers have 30 days to do titlework and if they do not then they are in violation of dealer regulations and can be fined daily for over-extending the 30 day deadline and that they will open a fraud/invest of the dealer I started feeling like maybe I was not completely scammed. After numerous calls I finaly got in touch with the owner and was told no matter what I do "do not contact MVA because they will put a freeze on the car and I would never get tags for the car". This for anyone reading is wrong, I called the investigation department in Glen Burnie and they assured me that this was not true and are mailing me a fraud report form. The "dealer" claims that they had no idea that the title work was not done and are going to "try" and get it done by friday with the title service. Apparently the paperwork was placed on the wrong person's desk...ummmm...for 6 weeks???? Stay away from this dealership, I am not the only person that is having this problem!!! Look up Brun's Motors on Merchantcircle.com, there are at least 4 other people who had same problem.
