Over thirty alleged transactions occurred which totally drained my bank account. My bank called me to let me know there was something bad going on. After researching Lalibco, I determined this was some outfit in Portugal. My bank reversed the charges and replenished my account. Months later, I got a letter from a collection agency in Ohio demanding $3900. I called and spoke with a woman there who was totally unsympathetic that these were fraudulent charges. She violated the Fair Credit Collections Act and never was willing, or able, to send me a full set of paperwork detailing the charges. We had two more conversations and I got nowhere with these people. I refused to pay them as I charged nothing with Lalibco and told her she had a lot of gall trying to extort an extra $1,000 out of me anyway over and above what my bank had repaid me into my account. My credit rating has been damaged by these boneheads of course.
