I was on Craig's List and found a rental that looked great. I called the number and was put in a "call order." I was the 5th caller. The guy (Gregory) told me that due to the economy, they have a listing of these houses that are rent to own. They tell you there is no credit check, as long as you can prove twice the rent each month in your bank. They say you can rent for 6 months - 2 years and that after you can use what you paid to purchase the home....BUT you have to become a member for what was a deal of $175 per month. This was a discount off the usual rate of course. It just so happens that the street they said it was on was not far from where I currently live AND it is a VERY short street. So I drove the street and based on the photos of the interior of the house, there is NO WAY that house was on that street. I called Gregory back to tell him this and got a voicemail. He just called me back and I told him I had driven the street and it's just not possible that house is on that street. He got off the phone faster than you could say Jack Robinson. If this was legit, he would have said something more than "Ok thank you" and hung up. It convinced me this is a scam and I am SO glad I didn't part with my $175. Clearly this is a rip off.

  • How do you know this website is a scam when you didn't even purchase it. I am sure you work for a competitive company and just trying to give a legit company a bad name..

  • My husband and I signed up with this service last week and we immediately received access to all their property listings and within the hour a representative of the company called us to welcome us and help us get started and begin working with us. We've looked at several very nice rental homes here in Irvine, CA and have already secured a rent to own property. Everyone at the company was very efficient, helpful, and professional. We are very satisfied with this service and would recommend it to anyone looking for a home to rent or a rent to own. It saved us a lot of time and energy. Very worth it!

  • Just for the record, you can SO tell the people working for this company wrote the info above. Unlike the assertions made, I do NOT work for the competition. I am just a person who was looking for a rental. "How do I know its a scam"? Because the listing gave the street name in my town. That street is a VERY short street. Based on the interior photos and the fact the agent told me it's vacant, I was literally able to figure out that it's just not possible that house was on that street. MOREOVER, when the agent returned my call and I told him this, if this was a legit service, why would he not say something like, "I assure you this is legitimate, let me see if I can get a real address for you." JUST to PROVE it is not a rip off. Instead he quickly said, "thank you" and hung up. I called back to ask him if he could find an address for me and then he would not call me back. ANOTHER sign it is a rip off. You guys aren't even smart enough to write reviews that SOUND like real people. The bottom line is, it would have been easy for them to prove to me this house was legit. If they had done this, I would have signed up for the service, so it would have been worth the effort. I was not asking for 500 addresses. Just ONE address of a house advertised to prove it's real. I should have known it seemed to good to be true. As the saying goes, if it seems to good to be true, it probably is. I'm glad I didn't bite. I just wanted to warn others, as I feel people should do when they discover a scam. We all don't need our time or money wasted.

  • To be clear. When I called back, I got voicemail. The guy NEVER returned my call. I called and left TWO messages. NOTHING. If it was legit, he would have called back. Period.

  • NCR, wait a second. Your first message said that Gregory did call you back. Now you say he didn't call back. What happened exactly?
