Selling a small appliance. Contacted via email by Jim Wuertz using [email protected] email address. He stated that he was out of state & purchasing other items in Olympia, if he could make the check for more so when his movers came to pick up the item I could give them the additional funds. Told me to keep $100 extra for my running around & $20 for the shipping fees which was not even discussed until the check was delivered. We received the check for $3900.00 well more than the item we were selling. The check came from a different address than the shipping label on the FedEX package. He was insistent I go to the bank right away. I told him no, several times that as discussed this was a check & not a cashiers check he would have to wait until the check cleared. I asked for his number to speak to him he continued to ignore my request. We didn't feel comfortable dealing with him, so we sent his check back. I then got a threatening email from him stating he had my information.
