I ordered brakes for my 82 year old mothers walker. Westcoastmedical sent the wrong brakes with incomplete parts. I barely got them out of box before realizing they were the wrong part. I shipped them back (on my dime). Westcoast called a few week later saying I damaged the brakes and they could do nothing.

I told them I hardly touched the brakes. They lied saying they remember when they "took the order" I said I would "make them work" Riddiculous. Stay Away

  • I'm sorry that you had this trouble and felt like you were not taken care of in this situation.

The brakes that were sent were the brakes that were ordered by phone. The brake you ordered is not even on our website and the only way to order that would be to give us the model number of your walker. The brake system does not come with any additional parts other than the brake system. If the brakes sent back to us were not the ones that you ordered, we would have absolutely refunded the full amount including shipping. When the brakes were returned to us they were damaged beyond repair and the cables were frayed and there are tool marks on the sheaths. They are unsellable and not returnable to the manufacture. Had the cable not been this way we would have been happy to return them for a full refund. We DID issue you a credit for half of the price because the one brake was in good condition.

Again, I am sorry you felt taken advantage of, but I assure you that was not the case. We take great steps to describe our products online and which walkers they will work with. We will never sell a brake system for a walker in which it is not intended to be used on.
