I was shopping on the internet for a good deal on a vehicle. I did decide to purchase my vehicle from Delucca Toyota Of Ocala after several contacts to them on a 2008 toyota Rav. The vehicle was 2 months past the Lemon law. I did not know this at the time as it was certified and I purchased the extended warranty, which I was told several times was a bumper to bumper and covered everything but brake pads and tires. They later tell me its a bumper to bumper warranty but does not cover water damage.. Less than a month later while driving in a rain, the windshield by the rear view mirror leaked water like a running facet pouring water in all behind the dash and shift changer. I would guess 1/2 gallon water leaked in befire I could get my shirt off to re direct the water flow, my pants were soaked. So nobody had any Knowledge of this already leaking windshield? I contacted the sales person of the incident to make arrangements to have this issue resolved as the vehicle was certified and had a warranty I was not concerned that the vehicle would not be covered for replacement or insured. The sales person was on vacation and contacted me about 10 days after my email to him. He said no problem and made an appointment for me at the Toyota dealership. It was excuses diversions from the very beginning they did not want to accept responsibility. I stood my ground and insisted they repair all problems or I would file legal action. The first response from Craig the manager was do you no how long that would take. he said this with confidence and arrogance. After watching Craig swell up like he was King Kong and me rising to my feet like that intimidation tactic would not work he agreed to have the leak fixed. I should have known better and stayed to watch the work, as they lied and fixed nothing. They insisted I take a loan vehicle. So as I attempted to get justice in short I will conclude. My vehicle did not qualify for the lemon law. This leaves you with only 2 options to take, neither would make you whole as the Auto industry has made these rules with the participation of the American Government to benefit the Auto industry over the consumer. Yes I contacted Toyota main office what a joke yea they sent the paper work but none applied to me. the Attorney general is no doubt drinking coffee and making deals. It refers your complaints to other for profit agency's what a political scam, empowering an industry to commit criminal acts, and be immune to prosecution. You see in the news the Attorney had to file a civil case against Honda to get justice outside the legal systems reach. She Won! I also tried to put Adds in the local papers Tampa tribune, St Pete Times and the local Sentinal paper in Ocala. With the simple comment"I am not happy with my water damaged vehicle I purchased at Delucca Toyota of Ocala". None of the papers would print my add. Of course Toyota is a sponsor of all those medias. Replacement parts made at radiation city japan will be sold sooner or later but have sent business to Malaysia and Thailand to make parts> Think the wages and quality control have changed? So as a retired Law enforcement I have seen how the rich the well known or powerful seem subject to a different set of laws that would find the average man a criminal, corporate America seems to be making these rules exempt from being even considered a crime if it means they can make money. Toyota and Delucca Toyota have committed a felony crime against me. They knowingly sold me a water damaged vehicle worth thousands less than it was worth and then lied about the fact. If I would have done this to a consumer would the out come be the same? What I have learned is cost them money that will get their attention advise and inform the consumer that is the best weapon as this may be the only way to to beat the pussheads. see autorater for more theknife Hey I learned the hard way might as well buy American for all the right reasons.
