Received notification of being a $2,000,000.00 winner and they requested an $11.89 payment for processing. I went online AFTER I mailed out the check and found out that this is actually a scam, and had to go to the bank and pay $35.00 to stop payment on the check and then close the account and open a new one-not to mention that I had direct deposit from my job to that account as well, so that was just another hassle!! How can it be legal for these people to continue to do this? If it has been proven to be a scam, then why can't the government stop it? Oh, I forgot... they are too busy trying to reach an agreement on the debt ceiling because they've been doing the same thing for the last what...? how many years?
