My son was purchasing a used vehicle and i wanted to do a vin# check on it for accidents, r title, etc. before he purchased it. I searched for a vin check using the internet, results were (888-613-1485 car report). I used there 2.95 quick vin check on 1/15/2012 and charged to credit card when bill came i was charged 2.95 and (29.95 a option i never used on 1/17/2012) i noticed it and was angry but thought ill pay the extra charge and be done with them forever. One month later on my same credit card bill i recieved another charge for a vin check that i didnt request either and from what looks to be a different company (carvin checks com)same scam for 29.95 on 2/16/2012. I think this two scamming companies or group of people may be the same crooks. Keep in mind i only authorized one payment of 2.95 on one credit card one time only.

I registered a complaint about them at the better business bureau in Salt Lake. google bbb salt lake city and then go to consumer section and click on register a complaint.
If everyone does this we can shut them down quickly. I told the guy at carvinhistory.com that he needed to go get a job because the business was going to go under in short order. -

- Same thing happened to me. I clicked $2.95 for one report. The company charged me $2.95 and two days later another charge of $29.95. These people are crook.

- I reported this scam to my credit card company today.
