June 2010 I purchased a blower (never used), hedge trimmer (used 6 xs) and two 18 volt batteries with charger.
June 2011, when I used the hedge trimmer this year, it stopped working after 5 minutes. So I charged the 2nd battery and it to stopped working after 5 minutes. I contacted WORX and learned they do not offer any refunds after 30 days and since my battery is out of warranty I would have to order a replacement battery. I feel like I was scammed. For $500 I would expect to have a product last more than 1 year. Without workable batteries, which are pretty costly, I am out $500 and no merchandise. Companies should not be allowed to sell faulty products without consequences. If they had taken back my equipment and refunded me my money, I would be happy. Instead, I will make sure to let all of my friends and family know to beware of any WORX products, that they do not live up to their advertisements.
