I got an e-mail from these people saying I'd won an I-pod shuffle. I clicked on the e-mail, but it just bought up the homepage. I thought maybe I had to join to get the i-pod, so did so. I then noticed it was an auction site. I know nothing about these. I then bid for what I thought was a gift voucher for £250. But it was a bid voucher for 250 bids.
I paid for my bid voucher, and then noticed, AFTER paying, that I was now a 'platinum member' and it would cost me £59 a month. and it was a 'binding contract'
I contacted them over the phone, explained I'm on benefits, and was told I could cancel my membership for £28. And no more to pay.
So I did this, and guess what? they are not cancelling my membership until April, therefore they will still get their £59 out of me for the next 3 months!
Great! So I have complained to Ziinga today.........
