I was sent a check from this company. The told me that I was entitled to a sum of US $37,000.00 because I was one of the winners in the *Consumer and Merchandise promotion drawing* Organized for all customers of the major stores in the U.S.A and Canada e.g. WaMart, Sears, JCPenny, Home Depot, Safeway, Winners, Value Village, Save on Foods, Grocer stores e.t.c
I was told that this check was part of my winnings to pay off my tax and processing fees. That I was to call 1-716-203-1998. And to ask for Dave Korouche or Jessica Hanson for further instructions on how to claim my big winnings, that they are my "Claims Agents".
Im sure what's going to happen is that I deposit the check, take the money and send it back to them to pay my taxes and other "Fees" and after I send them that money they gave me, Im out the $3,640.00 that was supposed to be mine and then Im out that money.
I just wanted to report these people because I dont want this happening to anyone else. I have not cashed the check because I tried looking up the "routing number" on the check and it was only 7 numbers long and the account number was about the only thing that was legit on the check. The "routing number" that was on the check is 6259032. The account number is from "Citibank Delaware One Penn's Way New Castle, De 19720" the acct. # is 031100209 and the last numbers (Check numbers) Dont match. If you would look into this, I'd appreciate it! I dont want anyone getting hurt by this. It looks like a scam to me. Please contact me back on this matter.
