I purchased two pairs of Arcopedico shoes using Paypal in early November 2011 and rec'd a confirmation. It seemed fishy and it had a bogus link. I contacted PayPal immediately and filed a claim. Within 10 days the payment was reversed. End of issue or so I thought.
On 12/29, I rec'd a notice fron USPS telling me to pick up an unclaimed item. I did so on 12/30. It was a cheesy gray envelope with an equally cheesy Mickey Mouse shopping bag.
Since I signed for this junk, I am certain my fraudulent pal in China will now try to get the transaction reversed. Called PayPal today and they advised me to go to the local police department and file a claim for mail fraud. If a claim is filled by the perp, Paypal has advised me to fax them a copy of the mail fraud report and they will deny the claim.
I asked PayPal if they will eventually disable this creep from using Paypal. Their answer was yes, provided they get additional claims re: this person's fraud.
