I was called by someone saying their name was Ray Parker and they worked for an attorney John Weber who was doing collection for cash.net. usa. Back in the summer I had a loan with that payday loan company which I thought was paid in full. After being pressured that I would be sued I gave out my credit card information but said I would send a fax to authorize a transaction the following morning. After I hung up with them I went online to the real company called cash.net.usa and one of there customer service agents informed me that I did not owe them and that my balance was paid in full. The real company has FAQs that list this scam info also. Too bad I didn't see them sooner. I did not ever send the fax authorizing the transaction but they still took 525.00 from my account. I called my bank and they have cancelled my card. I am disputing this transaction so once the Visa fraud team investigates this I hope to get my funds back into my account next week. This happened to me during the holiday so I was not able to use my money to purchase needed gifts for Christmas or pay bills that are now getting behind. Absolutely do not give your information until you investigate their claims that you owe them money. If you do really owe they will be just as willing to take your money the next day. This infuriates me. I am filing a complaint with the Attorney General and State Attorneys offices plus the BBB. I also took a phone call the following day after I had authorized the transaction and I told them I was going to file complaints against them. I have saved an email conformation from them that has the ip address and I have threatening messages from them saved on my voicemail. I hope someone makes these people pay for doing this especially for victimizing people during the holiday times when finances are extremely tight. I doubt anything will happen though.

  • When I say I authorized the transaction it was just a verbal prearrangement to be charged once my fax to them was received. They said they needed the fax to authorize the transaction. Apparently once they saw I wasn't going to fax the authorization they went ahead and charged my account without my permission.
