I was advised by my Health Care Grp. that their computer system was attacked by a virus and suggested that I check my Credit scores to ensure that my info had not been violated.
I was warned that many of these "FREE " sites are scams. So, I read every thing carefully.and though I was concerned when they asked for a credit card number to prove my identity, I complied.
I was going over my bank statement today and was furious to find a charge of $29.95 to Freescore.com! I called them and was told that there was a period of only seven days that the "FREE" offer was free. As I said above, I felt that I was very careful to read through all of the fine print. Evidently not careful enough!
I am certainly the last to promote government intervention, but I certainly feel that Better Business Organizations should be made aware of these kind of Rip Offs.
Sincerely;
GK Jones Payson, Az.
