I have a Mitsubishi 60" DLP TV that has been used very infrequently over the past 2.5 years. It now has a defective TI-DLP DMD chip. These chips fail and cause white and black dots on the screen. People are complaining about this all over the internet and there is even a Facebook page dedicated to Defective Mitsubishi TVs. The TI chip is defective and Mitsubishi should replace it free of charge.
