I was contacted via phone by Merchant Freedom Network on 11/26/2011.They explained their product to me and I was interested because they stated the give small business loans.. all my friends, associates, and peers are small business owners.. i could help them as well as making a profit....But when the telephone salesman wanted my credit card info for the platinum package of $495.00...I stated I wanted to do my research/Due diligence on their company then call him back if I was content that this wasn't a scam.. The sales man literally tried to verbally force me to get in front of a computer to go directly to their web site for all the research I needed on their company. I explained i was watching the Michigan vs Ohio game and took all his info and would call back later after I did my own research. He still insisted that i go to a computer and look at their site, forget the fact I'm watching football game. What put up a red flag is how demanding the salesman was.. even after i explained to him several times Its not good business practice to rush into financial decisions with out research and time to think. That's when i became irritated and ended the phone call. not much to my surprise I goggled Merchant Freedom Network.. and what do you know.. fifth from the top of the screen was scam book entry for their company.. so in conclusion, I didn't lose any money but I was contacted via phone which was about 20 minutes of wasted time on the phone. If sounds to good to be true....it probably is.. its the holidays and scams are going to be more prevalent then ever. hope this info helps and saves some one time and money.
