I reviewed my T-Mobile bill and found 3 charges for $9.99. First 'Provider' was Funmobile with Description of 24758 Quiz4Now. Second and Third $9.99 Charge 'Provider' is TRUE DIGIT LLC with a charge Description of 87928TRUE DIGIT LLC and 51345CELLFUNZ.COM all posted on 10/5/2011 between 11:21AM and 11:22AM. I checked my calendar and I was at work that day, on a conference call, and can prove that I was not using my cell phone at the time these charges were incurred. I have an old flip phone and do not access the web or download with it. My cell phone usage history will prove this claim. I received 'several' text advertisements late at night on 10/4/2011. This woke me up due to my cell phone beeping over and over. I deleted the unsolicited advertising text messages. I believe these charges are a result of that unsolicated text contact. I phoned T-Mobile and they stated that this 'was my problem.' The fact is, T-Mobile accepted the charge and is performing 'pass through' billing on behalf of these .com companies. They are charging me on a T-Mobile Bill. That makes TRUE DIGIT LLC, for example, an affiliate of T-Mobile. Therefore, I see the problem as being the carriers. If they are going to accept charges from ANY company who promotes itself as an affiliate for cellular services, then they need to also ACCEPT the responsibility that comes with billing for affiliates that turn out to be scammers.
I've got ocean front property in Ohio I'd like to sell you if you believe that T-Mobile isn't getting a kickback for their 'convenient' pass through billing service from Funmobile.com and TRUE DIGIT LLC.com. They have no vested interest in customer protection from scam charges and that is why I am switching to CREDO Mobile.
