A Verizon provider knock my door, asking me to switch from DSL to Fios, she said it wouldn't cost me anything and I would get the same rate for two years. After a month I got a bill from verizon for $98.53 that included a Phone service and Interner Service. My DSL was $28.00 a month. When I called Verizon, they told me they are not responsible for the local vendor. I said, I never want it Fios and neither a phone number. (which I cancel 2 years ago). So I asked to cancel the FIOS and install my DSL back.
They said once I changed to Fios they can't change back to DSL. I told them this is an scam. You can switch me to DSL...but you don't want to do it because you can't force people to do it because is against the law......At this point they told me if I want, I can cancel the service and that will be it. I told them I don't want to cancel I want my DSL back. I'm sure there are many people been taking this way to switch from DSL to Fios.
This to report the scam and also to see if you can help me to get my DSL connection back.
