Complaint 37101 Details

We are in a sort of hard up situation and have been seeking out funding possibilities for some issues that need to be taken care of or we lose everything. We were contacted by Eastpoint Funding Partners after having filed an application for a loan. An agreement was sent after approval and in this agreement it was stated that in order to secure the loan a payment of almost $800 must be sent, which would pay our first 5 months payments. After reading the agreement very carefully, I decided that I was gong to call around and check this company out. First I called the BBB in Washington D.C. They had no record of the company, which could be either good or bad, then they told me to call the Arlington, VA business licensing dept. They too had no record of a business by that name or even another business that is licensed at the adderess given.

After hearing all of this, I again contacted them to tell them that I had done some research, then asked them for the name of the agency they are liscensed under and their business license #. I was told that he would have to get the information from his boss and that he would call me back in about an hour. Needless to say, he never called and this was 2 days ago.

Whatever you do Please protect yourself and do not try to get a loan through these people!!

IT IS A HUGE SCAM!!!!
