On January 26th, 2016, Zhimin Zou posted a research survey titled "Multicultural Attitude Survey" on Amazon's Mechanical Turk website. Payment for completing the survey was set at $0.50.
However, once the survey was completed by a large number of Mechanical Turk workers, Zhimin Zou refused to pay each worker their due $0.50, citing "Invalid questionnaire".
I submitted screenshots of the survey to Zhimin Zou as proof that the survey was indeed valid, however, none of the Mechanical Turk workers, including myself, have received a response from Zhimin Zou, nor have we recieved payment.
It is obvious Zhimin Zou posted a fraudulent survey to Mechanical Turk for the sole purposes of receiving free research for her academic studies at Sun Yat-Sen University, located in Guangzhou, China. It is clear she had no intentions of paying the numerous workers who completed her survey. Which is a scam.
