Airmail letter: stamp is from Witspos ZA, which is South Africa. Sticker-stamp says "Halfway House" on it. Letter inside purports to be from Old Mutual Financial Incorporated & cites fictional offices in Los Angeles, Africa, Ireland & England.
Promises $250,000 in winnings w/ an Aetna Life Ins check from a fake Citibank acct for $3,650 "to cover processing fees of $3,300". If cash this forged check, your bank can charge you with bank fraud when Citibank bounces it back. The scammers will call you in a few days and ask you to send them the $350 they "overpaid" you in processing fees. Hilarious note: The letter includes instructions, i.e. "Please never call any other telephone number other than" the ones they give you. Well, sure. They definitely don't want you calling Aetna, or Citibank, who will tell you this is not their check.
