I had unauthorized charges by CleverBridge in the past, so my suspicions were raised last week when I purchased software over the internet. The software company is in Europe and contracts with third party Cleverbridge to process payments.
So I used a valid credit card that had no charges against it for the previous year to pay CleverBridge online.
Shortly thereafter, an additional online but fraudulent credit card purchase was made for $370.
Since CleverBridge is the only company who had my credit card information, I know they are involved in this fraud. The security department at the credit card company could tell that the breach occurred by an online merchant making my information available for the fraud.
The credit card company is investigating this and I am reporting these facts to the FBI.
Avoid CleverBridge.
