My wife bought me a can of flexseal to use on repairing our constantly leaking gutter. There were 3 problem joints on gutter so I had to go out & purchase second can to allow for 2 generous coats. I work in carpentry so I deal with all kinds of tools and materials and this stuff seemed pretty straight forward as far as application was concerned. All problem joints were wire brushed clean of all debris, then cleaned W/mild soap & water and wiped dry, let that dry additional hour or so- and wiped with clean towel again.(cleaner the surface- better the outcome) I Applied product as directed, waited day, then applied a second coat. Have to say at this point , it looked like I had problem licked & gutters would no longer leak. Days later when we got some rain, all 3 joints that I thought I fixed had leaked like a seive. Its as if I never even applied anything at all. Called the company & they said no refund, but would send me another free can. Told them why would I want another can for free when your product doesn't work in the first place?? Also told them while their at it to change the name from Flex-seal to Scam-seal - but I'm not holding my breath on that one. I will exercise my right as a consumer and will talk to managers of home centers like Lowes & Depot and urge them to drop that product from their shelves. If companies like scam-seal want to rip off hard working Americans by deceptivly taking our cash - I have no problem hitting them right back in the purse as well. Hope this post helps any future customers to reconsider before they buy this crap - v
