On 10-5-2015, I received an email with what appeared to be a warrant from the state attorney's office. The warrant stated that my social security number had been placed on hold and that I was about to be prosecuted for violation of federal banking regulation and theft by deception. This was all supposed to be stemming from an unpaid payday loan. I received several different company names from whom this was supposed to have been borrowed. Neither of them had anything in their records showing that any loans had been taken out in my name.
On several occasions prior to this one, I spoke with Mike Johnson and asked for proof that this money had been withdrawn, let alone in my name. I received two emailed documents that listed the same amount on each one. However, neither company listed on those documents had anything in my name. If that wasn't enough to raise red flags, Mike Johnson was supposed to be an agent of ACS when I was initially contacted by him. I didn't start receiving emails from Mike Johnson at US Legal Services until several months afterwards.
