Tried to rent a timeshare from him for Waikiki, accepted my offer and gave me a confirmation from the hotel afterwards. I called and confirmed with the hotel with the reservations. Great, decided to book my airfare and other excursions. 2 and a half weeks before we were supposed to leave he refunds my money via paypal saying that the booking was cancelled in error. Yeah right, what he wanted to do was to cancel and rebook hence using less points making it cheaper for him. But once he cancelled the availability never popped back up because of how busy Waikiki hotels are. He gave me some BS excuse to say the hotel cancelled it because it was full. Basically he washed his hands of the responsibility saying nothing he can do and sorry.

I did my research and took the risk and got burnt, luckily only part of my airfare was non refundable but it sucks to tell my 2 kids that we're going. There are numerous pages mentioning Barry Skolky on Tuggbbs and another one on scambook. Theres another review on HOMEAWAY as well saying he cancelled last minute on someone else too. This isn't new for him and I suspect that he tries to the cancel and rebook at Wyndham locations so he can get the bookings at a reduced point fee all the time. Look at his ebay feedback, 2/3 of his feedback is him as a buyer not a seller.

I thought I did my due diligence but nope got screwed, not sure how him and his wife Gayle Ritzer even think they can get away with things like this on the internet where people can just google their names...
