On August 20th some work was so called done on my pc, they said it from Microsoft Windows I had so much malicious virus problem. I paid 209.99 by debit card..later I asked for a refund but it would take 15 days. Then. On 8/25/2015.. I had a call from unknown.. But said right away.. Did U ask for refund? .because they both sounded East Indian. I thought it was the same outfit.. I was just happy to have my $ back.
Because I don't know banking policies. I believed them when they said that 209.99 was too small for the bank
To accept. They would send $ 850.00 to my account. If I would send the extra $ to them.. Again. A debit card. Of course all my $ is gone. I'm 77 & didn't know about this scam.but I know now. U can not believe anyone on the phone..ever!
I believe the 2 calls were related.so I've combined the 2 costs.
I changed all my passwords...closed my debit account... What else can I do? I need the $ for taxes!
