Money transferred via Western Union on agreed price of USD 922. Supplier sent us a DHL delivery slip with sender info as another company (Ningbo Golden Motor Industry Group Co., Ltd).

Supplier told us we need to pay more money, USD 180+ for export taxes, VAT and property transfer tax (??!) because the items were stuck in China customs. They would send us the products only after we made the additional payment.

We looked up taxation laws in China, and it was quite obvious that we need not pay any export tax (items to be exported are engine parts for toys). VAT is also questionable because the items are to be exported out of China.

We wrote back, asking for proofs of official documents from Chinese customs department. Never heard another word from them since.

We even wrote to them in Chinese. No responses whatsoever. The telephone numbers were all not in service.
