In March, 2015, I ordered what I thought were free samples of two skin care products--Nouvebelle Anti-Aging Face Cream, and Bellesse Anti-Aging Eye Serum--which were subsequently delivered to me. I was then offered the option to purchase another set of these creams, which I thought would make a good gift for my granddaughter. There was no mention of a continuing subscription, and I gave my bank information to pay for them--thinking that nearly $100 for the two creams was pretty high, but thinking it was a one-time expenditure.

A month later, another set of creams appeared, this time with a two separate charges on my bank account for $92.79 and $97.83. I thought there might have been an error and two sets of my one order had been sent, but when I called the number on the jar that was listed as 'contact information,' no one could answer my query. They did not know why this had happened or why I was surprised at the double charges.

They said they would return the money to my account within 10 to 15 business days.

Lo and behold! A month later, ANOTHER set of creams appeared in my mailbox, and ANOTHER set of charges appeared on my account. I called them again, thoroughly annoyed, and was told that the monies would be refunded, with apologies.

No money appeared from either promise.

Then in July, a third set appeared and a third charge was levied against my account.

I have just finished a conversation with one "Ian Clyde," who says his supervisor is "Lewis Cory," during which he told me that they had no record of any previous calls, and that the best he could do was refund this month's charges. This offer was made only after I threatened him with my lawyer and the lawyer for the bank.

He said he would cancel my subscription at once and for me to keep the merchandise with their compliments.

I think the call center may have been in India or Mumbai by the hollow echo sound and the accent of the gentleman.

In total, they have charged my account $762.48, of which they have offered to return $190.62 to my account 'within ten to fifteen business days.' They have yet to return ANY of the money they promised.

One interesting item: I called the number listed on the package return address of the July shipment. It was shown as "RFS C/O Nouvebelle Skin Care" at the address listed above. They told me I had reached "Juvalift Skin Care" and they had no idea who Nouvebelle might be. I then called the number on my bank charge (which was the same as the one on the jar of cream, and was the number I had called twice previously) and had the conversation described above.

All told, I am out $762.48--of which I may or may not get back $190.62 for this month, and the remainder from the earlier promised refunds.

What are my options?
