I signed up to get my degree online. I already had my Asso degree, so I was building on that to get my BA. Everything was going great, then I asked to take a quarter off. I sent in the request to my adviser, and she screwed around and screwed around....she kept giving me my classes. Finally, she gave me the quarter off I needed! I then told her I was prepared to go back and finish up, well....she did not put me back in. I would email her and ask her if I was enrolled...she would say she forgot, or OH! I am so sorry! Its too late, but I will next time...blah blah! Before I knew it, I was getting a bill for $6000. At first, they told me I did not send in my financial papers, then it was I did not have any loans left, (they just took out $4000) then it was ....Oh! Well...you DO have loans left, I don't know why!? Did you just pay them off?? , then it was ....we are reviewing your files....it went on and on and on...I have EVERY EMAIL from day one with these people! I have not heard a word...NO ONE will talk to me! The last thing I heard was....well...I think someone made a mistake on our side~ YOU THINK????? In the meanwhile, I have lost about $15000, plus I can not even sign up at my local college bc I have nothing to show for this money that went out in loans.
Unless of course, I pay cash for my classes...and I am lucky to put food in my fridge. I feel stuck! I don't know what to do or where to turn. Do I get a regular attorney? Are there special ones for something like this?
