Mod Krista was introduced to OSRS community yesterday after the addition of Mod Alfred and Mod Day. However, different from the usual welcome, Mod Krista has received lots of opposition due to her two-year experience on monetization. And now whether MTX will come to OSRS or not has become the most concern. Share your opinion on RSorder facebook and look some analysis on this issue below.

Mod Krista moved from RS3 to OSRS

As it is shown on osrs official webpage, Mod Krista will add into osrs community as a new content developer and work together with Mod Ash for the further develop contents updates. According to the introduction, she has been at Jagex for 5 years - 3 years for Runescape working and 2 years in the monetization team. It is this 2-year experience that makes her be objected so much. Most of players indeed hate microtransaction in RS3, so it seems understandable that they worry about such an issue to be added into OSRS. But how things are going now? Just follow with RSorder to get more information.

Mod Krista: MTX knowledge is not the reason to move to OSRS

Due to most of players’ disapproval, Mod Krista told on Reddit that MTX knowledge is not the reason for her to move to OSRS. Instead, she just wanted new challenges and Old School Runescape gave the chance at that time. In fact, Krista was used to be a Content Dev on RS as well and ever created "the Nexus" before she came back as an MTX dev. So it is somewhat believable that she moved to OSRS just for other content developing challenges.

Mod Matk: Krista’s monetization experience is coincidental.

We have gotten some Jmods’ answer on mtx topic. Mod Matk replied on Reddit that Mod Krista’s move was made to give extra support to Old School, while she came from the monetization team is something coincidental since it is important to Runescape as a whole. At the same time, Mod Roman indicated that Krista’s arrival doesn't have an impact on the likelihood of MTX in Old School.

Players expect for a win-win method without any MTX

Although Jmod teams are trying to cause players to believe that MTX won’t be brought to OSRS, players still worry about it without an official announcement. When trace back to months ago, we can see that Jagex indicated in the January forward-looking blog that they would be adding a loyalty store. It's not going to include microtransactions, but it is not sure with today's mod transfer.
In this case, some players expect that Jagex can find some work around that keep making money but also keep players happy. There has to be some solutions that is a win-win, not turning away future players or been the games downfall as well.
Anyway, it is undeniable that Mod Krista is a great developer who is qualified for the position of developer. As it is said, she shouldn’t be blamed since she is not the decider for game contents. So it would be better to give her a chance. We may face a brand-new look in OSRS! On this occasion, don’t forget to buy some cheap rs 2007 gold on RSorder!
