I received a call from an unknown caller who introduced himself as a Dell Technician and proceeded to tell me that they have been receiving notifications being transmitted from my Dell Laptop that I've been hacked and my network & computer have been compromised and are under the control of Nigerian terrorists. He was able to provide me my service Tag information for my XPS laptop. I allowed the Tech to enter the laptop remotely and check the potential hacking programs that have been installed by the hackers. He then stated that he wouldn't be able to remove them, but that he would have to pass me on to their partner company, PC Care Experts, who would the review the issues and quote me a price. A lady named Kelly got on the line and started quoting me plan prices and asked me which plan that I wanted to select. I then took my IPad and googled their company and found that they were a scam company and not to do any business with them. I then called Dell and spoke to an assigned technician and explained what had happened. The Dell Technician explained that they don't monitor personal PC's and that I was scammed by PC Care Experts. The Dell technician then took control of my laptop and started working on resolving my pc issues. I then received a call from my bank letting me know that they transferred $15000 from my checking account based on some con artist who stole my identity. I immediately placed a stop payment on the transfer of funds from my checking account. Please avoid any contact with anyone stating to be PC Care Experts. They will hack your PC and steal your identity and any other pertinent information.
