We had the same experience as many others have had at various places. We were lied to, intimidated and lied to again. This happened at the Puerto Bahia Residence in December of 2013. Todd Dehn sold us a two-bedroom home (fractional ownership). He told us that we would receive $2600.00 a week for every week (we had 8) that we wanted to rent out through Mercury Property Management.

They also took 3 other properties in trade. We did ask many questions regarding how this could happen. He always came back with a story that his "mother" even owned 10 weeks, but she did not stay there. He said she went up the road to the Four Seasons. We were told that our properties would be sold within a 6 month period for a large amount of money.

I was very hesitant about them giving us more money for the properties then we had originally paid for them. Did not seem to be right to me and I disliked Todd Dehn immensly.
But, my husband thought that it would be a good way to re-coop our money and pay for the house. We were told that we would be working with Mercury Property Management.

After we got back to the States I immediately gathered all the information and faxed it to Matthew Day at MPM. He emailed me back that everything appeared to be correct and my transactions would go through sooner than the six months waiting period.

After a few months I contacted Matthew and asked how it was going. He was rude and said that he would contact me and not to call him again.

I didn't like what was happening but had no choice other than to wait for the six months to lapse. At the seventh month I called only to be told that Matthew Day did not work for MPM anymore. I asked if they knew where he was working and they did not. I asked them to look up my transactions and tell me what the status was. He came back to the phone and said that Matthew Dey had pulled all the transactions and he didn't know why, but they had all been cancelled. I could hear lots of chattering in the background and asked if I had called into a call center. He said yes I had.

I cancelled my credit card that they had been taking monthly payments out of and started researching Todd Dehn and Puerto Bahia on the Internet. Of course, it was not good, but not surprising to me because I had thought all along that he was less than an honest person.

I prepared a 26 page document which included all the negative information from the Internet and told them there would be no more money paid to them. Finally the financial manager from Puerto Bahia called me and asked why I had cancelled the card. I asked if he had read my faxes and he said no, but George Triggs (the Manager) and Todd Dehn were no longer there. Evidentially Todd Dehn goes wherever George Triggs goes.

I managed to have my contract changed and negotiated with them to give me less time and I paid no more money. I don't know that we will ever use the property because of the bad feelings that we have about the entire transation.
