I was approached by several people from a company that claimed to be throwing a VIP party, and because the president was supposedly in the Philippines money should be wired directly to him. I refused kno wing that this kind of scam is run all the time. Wire fraud and whatnot, but they managed through convincing and familiar lies that I should wire the money through western union. After a great deal of convincing I thought, hey lets take a shot maybe they aren't lying. So we made an agreement and after much difficulty I managed to make an initial transfer, but was told afterwards that in order to receive my ticket to the VIP party I had to wire an additional 200. It was late and I was very tired and worn down, so I just did it. I had paid that much for a ticket to an event, so I managed to get it done. They lied and claimed they were affiliated with a trusted company so I thought I would do it. After all of that I never recieved anything they promised me, not the hotel room, not the entertainment, no value whatsoever.
