I have visited friends and family in Germany last year in August and used Skrill as I thought they were easy and cheap to use. In hindsight, quite silly to think that of a business who is dealing with money, trying to make money of it.
Anyways, when I opened my Skrill account I tried to cut out high currency exchange bank fees. $300 Dollars were left at the end of the holiday. When I tried to get the left over money back to my old account, Skrill made it impossible for me to access it. The said the password was incorrect, which it wasn't and made me change it so often that I have lost count. When I got into my account eventually, Skrill then prevent me from accessing my money without any given reason. The only thing which popped up in my Skrill window was a message, which said that I can't do whatever transaction I chose. My money is gone now as it is frozen for no reason. And it scares and annoys the hell out of me, that you need to go to extends to get them to do what they sell you they do. - easy, low-cost money transfers. Skrill is an absolute joke!
Don't use their service. Speaking of, they apparently do not have a customer service. It is hard to get theor phone number and even harder to get someone to talk to you, I certainly was never lucky. No one replies on mails. There are generic answers for every twentieth mail written. This is THE worst customer service I have ever experienced! I will never use this incompetent and unreliable business for any kind of services again. for sure. And I would like to encourage people to not deal with them. If I can give you one advice, please use other more customer orientated, reliable service.
